The 2-week summer day camp is open to all youth ages 7-12 with a particular focus on children who come from more than one cultural and/or racial community experience. FUSION offers a fun and supportive environment where youth can share, explore, and celebrate the richness and complexity of mixed heritage.

The program facilitates self-discovery through creative and interactive activities such as visual and performance art, outdoor education, community service-learning, field trips, and student leadership activities. We recognize that mixed heritage families have various experiences of their identities; thus, our goal is to support children and their families to explore and share in this process.

General Program Information*

Camp Location and Hours
The FUSION Program Summer Day Camp 2009 will take place July 27 - August 7, 2009 at the Redwood Day School, 3245 Sheffield Avenue, Oakland, CA 94602. Program hours are 9 AM - 3 PM each day. Pre-care (8 - 9 AM) and after-care (3 - 5 PM) are available for an additional fee. All campers must arrive by 8:45 AM and can be picked up no earlier than 3:15 PM.

Cost
$650 per child for the 2 weeks ($65 per day)
Pre/Aftercare: $200 per child for the 2 weeks ($6.75 per hour)
10% sibling discount
Partial scholarships available

$50 non-refundable deposit due at registration. Balance due by June 15th, 2009.
This deposit holds your camper's place and avoids being bumped to the wait list.

Lunches
Free lunches will be provided to all campers. If your child has any special dietary needs or restriction, please be sure to include detailed information on the registration form as well as give verbal notification to the Site Director.

Payment Options
We accept check, cash, or credit card (via PayPal only). Checks can be made payable to iPride or FUSION. For credit card payments, please see below.

Tuition Fee: $650 per camper; siblings of campers get a 10% discount

Precare/Aftercare: $200 per camper

Cancellation
Cancellation for camp must be submitted in writing two weeks prior to the start of the session in order to receive a partial refund. No refund will be made after the two week deadline.

Scholarships
Scholarships are available for parents who qualify financially. Families are encouraged to apply for scholarships. Please see scholarship application for more details.

Volunteering
Family members are encouraged to volunteer and gain hands on experience. Volunteers will receive training and orientation.
