			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Did you know that, as of August, 2011, about 400,000 of the 1 million gang members in the U.S. were juveniles under 18? About 360,000 of these were boys and 32,000 were girls.</p>
<p>Joining a gang, no matter your reasons, just isn’t worth it. Gangs and gang members get involved in crime, such as drug trafficking, money laundering and murder. Those who commit these crimes are caught and they wind up spending years behind bars. <p>Instead of getting involved in a gang, think of the activities you enjoy and the goals you have for your future. If you enjoy working with younger children, find a volunteer position that allows you to mentor kids. Become a peer mentor with a community agency. Do you like music or art? Do some research online (tell your parents first) and seek out free or low-cost classes that you can take to learn more. </p>
<p>Focus on school. While some classes are boring, earning good grades enables you to get into the college of your choice. You’ll be able to stay with your family and enjoy life.</p>

We have seen in the course of history how drugs have influenced culture around the world. On the one hand, drugs have been one of the muses for many artists, bands and writers throughout history. However, on the other hand, drugs have doomed many lives rife with potential. As for the artists that were influenced by drugs, all the stories ended in<span id="more-3"></span> a tragic and calamitous way. The result here is that drugs may play an inspiring role for an individual&#8217;s creative, but the important thing to remember is that it was only temporal. </p>
<p><strong>The Present</strong> <br />
There is no point to jeopardize your life. The important fact to remember about drugs is that there are many prices to pay for developing a habit. First, it is very costly. Second, it is illegal and can result in wasting your life behind bars. Third, it leads to a destructive lifestyle. Moreover, getting hooked on drugs is a downward spiral that leads to financial instability, emotional depression and psychological dependence. </p>

So, what does the future bring? You have an option to steer clear of drugs. Not because drugs are bad for you, but because they can wreck you life in ways that go beyond your control.</p>
